The challenge
Real estate is one of the largest contributors to global emissions, but measuring the carbon footprint of a portfolio — across Scope 1, 2, and 3 — requires aggregating data from dozens of sources, applying the right emission factors, and tracking progress against net-zero targets. Accacia needed a platform that could automate this complexity.
How we approached it
We built the data ingestion and calculation engine that pulls from utility bills, building management systems, and other sources to automatically compute emissions across all three scopes. The platform includes modules for embodied carbon assessment of building designs and financed emissions calculation for investment portfolios — making it useful for developers, asset managers, and investors alike.

Accacia is a leading carbon accounting platform for real estate, helping property companies measure, track, and reduce their emissions. The platform automates what used to require consultants and spreadsheets, making decarbonization actionable rather than aspirational.
