The challenge
People want to shop more sustainably but have no way to measure the impact of their purchases. Reading labels and researching every product is impractical. GoodShifter needed a tool that makes the invisible visible — showing the environmental and health impact of everyday purchases and offering better alternatives.
How we approached it
We built the receipt analysis engine that scans purchase receipts, identifies products, and scores them on environmental and health metrics. The recommendation system then suggests sustainable alternatives for products with high impact scores — making it easy for users to shift their habits without sacrificing convenience. The entire experience is designed to be immediate: scan, understand, and act.
Where it is today
GoodShifter transforms how people think about their shopping by making sustainability data actionable at the point of purchase. The platform continues to expand its product database and impact scoring models through an ongoing retainer engagement.
